While it is in administration, and under the control of new owners, Virgin Australia is putting more aircraft into service. This is good news for travellers as it comes as restrictions on travel are lifted.
In the latest round of updates, Virgin will add an extra 17 routes to its network by 04 August 2020. The latest additions include the capital cities of Hobart and Darwin. In keeping with its commitment to regional Australia, it will add services to Newcastle, Launceston, Alice Springs, Hamilton Island, Maroochydore, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Proserpine, and Mount Isa.

Virgin have provided the following map outlining the network as it will be from 4 August. This shows the 28 ports that Virgin will have at least some operations to.
Keep in mind that not all routes have a daily service. This is particularly true on the regional routes. While routes between capital cities are mostly at least daily, some of the regional services operate on 3 or 4 days per week. You can check out the full details on the Virgin Australia website.
If you are looking for a reward booking, things seem to be a bit more restrictive. Velocity has published a more restrictive set of city pairs that you can book with points.
While there are more routes being added, some of the Virgin Australia services have not returned to normal as yet. For example, while Qantas has begun opening lounges, the lounges of Virgin Australia remain closed. At this point, there is no sign of when they may open.
