Qantas launches seasonal flights to Sapporo, Japan

Sapporo is a popular Japanese ski holiday destination, and Qantas are making it easier to get there. They have announced a seasonal service, which will coincide with the peak skiing season for the area.

Between December 16, 2019 and March 28, 2020, Qantas will fly three times per week between Sydney and Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport. The flight will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

All up, Qantas will offer 10,000 seats between the two cities.

The aircraft

Flights will be operated on the Qantas Airbus A330 aircraft. This aircraft features the Qantas Business Suite, with a 1-2-1 configuration in Business. In Economy, a fairly standard 2-4-2 offering is available.

Award Availability

The new flights went on sale today, and at the time of writing their were still opportunities for Award flights in both cabins. Seats on the route were available for 35,000 Qantas Points one-way in Economy or 72,000 in Business (plus the usual taxes and fees).
