Qantas will be returning to a daily service between Sydney and Bali as of March 26, 2017. This will be done by adding three additional service per week, filling in the days that were not originally scheduled.

The additional flights will be temporarily suspended during the period 27 April – 28 May, 2017. This is said to be due to lower demand for its flights during this period.

The move to a daily service follows an announcement in December advising that Qantas were returning to a year round service. The four days a week service was introduced following the success of a seasonal service between Sydney and Bali.

When it is running the four weekly services, the flights operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The new flights fill in for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and are already on sale.

The flight will be operate by a two class 737.  Passengers will be offered the normal Qantas flight experience, with an all inclusive fare offering a baggage allowance, inflight entertainment, food and drinks.

Schedule

The flights, QF43 and QF44, will operate daily. There is a reduction to 4 days per week during quiet periods. The full details of the timetable are shown in the following table.

At the time the announcement to a year round service was being introduced, Qantas International CEO Gareth Evans said the additional capacity was all about increasing choice.

“The combination of Qantas and Jetstar means we can give our customers the maximum range of options for their visit to Bali.

“That’s important for a destination which caters to different budgets and tastes.

“We’ve had a fantastic response to Qantas’ seasonal service, especially from our frequent flyers, so we felt the time was right to go year-round.

“For the past couple of years, we’ve been taking a more agile, flexible approach to our Asian network – responding to growing demand where we see it – and this is the latest example of that strategy in action,” said Mr Evans.
