Qantas has launched a double points offer for bookings made between April 4, 2019 and April 8, 2019 for travel between April 11, 2019 and February 29, 2020.
No – that is not double status credits – it is double points 🙂
For residents of Australia or New Zealand, the offer is available on flights booked with a QF number operated by either Qantas or Emirates. So, for the purpose of this promotion that means any domestic or international Qantas or Emirates operated flight with a Qantas (QF) flight number on your ticket where Qantas Points are normally earned.
That means that while codeshares on Emirates flights are eligible, codeshares on other flights are not. For example, if you were to book a QF flight number on a Jetstar operated flights, you would not be eligible for the double points.
If the address in your profile is not Australia or New Zealand, then the Emirates codeshares are also excluded – you will need to fly on a Qantas operated aircraft.
You can choose any cabin for the flight, but be aware of how the double points are calculated when flying in business.

As with many of these offers, you will need to register first, and then make the eligible bookings. The time frames for the promotion are
- Booking Period: between April 4, 2019 and April 8, 2019
- Travel Period: between April 11, 2019 and February 29, 2020
The bonus points are calculated based on the relevant base points for the sector flown and booking class. Where this is less that the minimum points guarantee, it will be double the amount received through the minimum points guarantee. The double points does not apply to any status bonus points that you may get.
You can expect that the bonus points will credit up to six weeks after your flight posts to your account. Having said that, many Qantas promotions post earlier.
As always, this is an opportunity to earn extra points – especially if you have a booking in mind. As a bonus, this time around it covers flights operated by Emirates (as long as you book the QF flight number).
