As travel restrictions ease, Qantas and Jetstar will increase their domestic and regional flying for June and July.
The additional services will see Qantas and Jetstar provide triple the capacity over the current schedule. Overall, this will see more than 300 more return flights per week between the two carriers.
Additional Flights
Qantas and Jetstar are adding flights in various areas around Australia. Some highlights:
- Increase services between capital cities, in particular Melbourne-Sydney
- An increase in services to Canberra
- Regional areas in Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia will see increased services. In particular, Broome, Cairns and Rockhampton will see a significant boost in weekly flights.
- Flights will resume on eight routes not currently being operated.
- Qantas to commence flights from Sydney to Byron Bay (Ballina).

Service Changes
As a result of the current situation, customers will notice a number of differences when they fly. For example, masks and sanitising wipes will be provided. Qantas and Jetstar will be send information to customers so that they know what to expect.
